The documentary “The Himba” is presenting the exceptional life of the indigenous Himba people that managed to preserve the cultural heritage and life of their ancestors communed firmly with mother nature until today.
Ebru Cakirkaya was born in Ankara in 1971. She graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Communication, Radio-TV-Cinema in 1993. She has been making education and culture programs, and documentaries in TRT as a television producer since 1998. She made documentaries for co-production series materialized by TRT with European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Asia-Pasific Broadcasting Union (ABU) member television organizations.

Daniel Fagundes is an audiovisual autodidact who started his career in his youth when he participated in a video workshop in his neighborhood and decided to deepen his study of cinematographic technique and language.
Fernanda Vargas, daughter of a Bolivian father and mother from Ceará, born and raised on the outskirts of the south of São Paulo, mother of Taiguara and woman of struggle, is a researcher with a master's degree in Human and Social Sciences from the Federal University of ABC.

Vasco André dos Santos (Porto, 1997) finished his studies in Light, Sound and Scenic Effects at the Academia Contemporânea do Espetáculo in 2016 and due to his interest in the 7th Art, in 2018 he decided to study Directing at RESTART - Instituto de Criatividade Artes e Novas Tecnologias.
He has worked with creators from different artistic areas, namely with Jorge Quintela, Tânia Dinis and Mariana Cardoso as cinematographer.

The cave has a XVIII century chapel in its interior. The documentary focuses on the impact of the descent and exploration of the cave on human experience, between real stories, legends, and religion.

Nicolette graduated a Master of Design, majoring in animation at the University of Technology Sydney. She works as a freelance animator, illustrator and filmmaker and is currently based at the University of Sydney, working as a graphic designer for Sydney Business Insights. She was a 2D lead for the Custom's House light show in Vivid Sydney 2018 and has had previous films officially selected for Australian and international festivals.
